How can a new-to-world brand reenergize a century-old category?
The consumer wound care industry has seen little innovation since Band-Aids were invented in 1921. The team behind PowerHeal™ had developed a first-of-its-kind device that fast-forwards the healing process while minimizing infection. But how does a new player enter a scene dominated by an industry stalwart?
After successfully treating millions in hospitals and ER’s, PowerHeal™’s revolutionary technology was approved to go D2C and retail, so consumers could heal themselves at home. However, removing it from the context of a doctor’s office meant we needed to reimagine how the brand represented itself altogether.

Giving people the power to heal on their own terms
Sometimes the hardest aspect of healing is being unable to participate in your own life. The “old rules of healing” say those injured need to slow down and wait to heal. However, for many, life can’t wait. Now it doesn’t have to.
In a highly functional category, we saw an opportunity to address the real, human cost being sidelined can take. So, we flipped the narrative altogether.
We steered clear of the sterile, transactional wound care conventions and created an emotional and energetic brand, doing away with the industry standard “wait and watch” recovery.
Where other wound care brands tell you to slow down, we empower you to stay in charge with a speedy and confident recovery.



The photography offers a glimpse into the future for customers. A future with less pain, more joy, improved mobility and more memories.
We chose vibrant hues of electric green and bright orange to symbolize the dynamic healing properties of PowerHeal™. We also avoided, primary colors since they’re prevalent across the wound care industry.

Redscout delivered a caliber of work that is top of the industry. We now have an outstanding brand look and feel, with messaging and positioning that we are proud to move forward with.
